Tough Times in Townsville 🥵

Tough Times in Townsville 🥵

Hey Guys,

Well there’s no hiding from that, that wasn’t the results we wanted to achieve heading into the round. The good thing is, we come back next weekend for another crack, and see if we can wrangle back some lost ground on the Championship.

Coming from Darwin into Townsville, we had some good momentum rolling in. When we went out for Quali, we’re all over the shop, nowhere to be seen inside the Top 10. Pretty frustrating to be honest, the plan was definitely to be in Shootout but we were a long way off.

I knew I had to make the most of the day even thought I was starting in P17 for Race 15. I soared as high as P9 early in the race but as the afternoon dragged on, I started to drop like a fly. I came home in P14, pretty gutted after a day like that.

Sunday was a little better, we made some changes and the car and got a bit more of  a kick in it!

I missed the shootout again, only 0.07 sec from getting through and qualified P12. The team worked super hard overnight but wasn't meant to be.

Had a decent jump off the line for Race 16, put a few cars in my rear vision mirror early on. Battled hard for all 88 laps but that's all I had, P9. That was the best car we had all weekend in race however we're still chasing our tail for pace.

We haven’t had many weekends like that this year, or since I’ve been here, so we will put our heads together over the next week, have a look at what went wrong, and fix what we need to fix.

Looking forward to turning this ship around, I'll see you next weekend!

Cheers,

Chaz
