Top 5 then Rained Out! ☔️

Saturday night was a race that had it all! 🌧 Safety car, rain at the end, a tyre we haven’t run here, and a grandstand finish.
I qualified P12 and unfortunately missed the shootout. But we opted to kick off the 64-lap Race on the hard tyre before the safety car on Lap 6 brought the entire field into the lane.
I stayed on the hard tyre for the second stint until I came back into the lane again with 28 laps to go and went onto my super soft tyres.
With 10 to go, the rain started to fall, making conditions pretty slippery, but not enough for us to change to wets, on the super softs I managed to hunt down some of the leaders and us top 7 cars were all fighting for the podium.
In the end, I just missed out on reaching the podium and crossed the line in P5, but it was a big improvement on where I started!
Did my rain dance a bit too hard on Sunday, the rain fell non-stop all day and we started the race behind the safety car.
But after 6-laps, the race was red-flagged due to the standing water on-track, and was never restarted.
Heading to my favourite place on earth in just over a week, I'll touch base with you from Bathurst!
