Super Start in Sydney! 🏆

Hey Guys,

Was a solid start to the year with a podium & a win at SMP this weekend!

Qualifying was a little disappointing, I thought we might do a bit better, but we did make the shootout and finished 8th, so started on the 4th row on Saturday.

We knew there would be torrential rain coming to Eastern Creek but we just didn’t know when
there were heaps of strategies with when some ran the super softs and there was two vs three stops, so it was hard to know what everyone was going to do.

We held our nerve, saving the super soft until our final stint, and I only had to stop twice. That meant I had a good tyre under me for the final laps and could pick off some cars to claim the last step on the podium.

Was awesome to get on the podium for our first race of the year, it was a great start!

On Sunday, I got my hands on Provisional Pole with a pretty red hot lap, but just before the shootout, the heavens opened momentarily and P7 was the best I could do.

We tussled again with weather and safety cars in the Race, I was heavy on fuel and saved the soft tyre for last so we were in a good spot.

With 25 to go I got my hands on the race lead, which he would hold until 15 laps until that pesky rain came back again.

Adam made the perfect call and pitted the #25 for wets at the perfect time and got me back the lead with 9 laps left and got my first win of 2022!

I’ve never lead the championship before, so it’ll be pretty cool to have the orange numbers on the car at Tassie, I’ll be taking updating my profile pic I think.
