Just shy off a Podium finish at the Mountain ⛰️
Hi Everyone,
What a weekend at the big dance, for us, it felt like we were unable to get there but Lee, the team & I really gave it everything we could.
Started off the weekend with one of my go-to off-track activities, dying my hair a ridiculous colour to try and raise some money for charity, thanks to Tony at Salon Edges for doing my hair!
It was a long four days of driving but it just felt like we were behind the eight ball from the start but the team did an awesome job and worked hard to get us up there.
We got into the shoot but P9 was the best we could do, Lee had a ripper start but had a couple dramas with the car early on which the WAU crew were able to sort.
We ran through the race and after the final stops, we were hoping for a late safety car to bunch the field up and give me a chance to get a step on the podium but it was clear sailing to the chequered flag.
We gave it our best shot, if you said we were going to finish fourth the morning of we would have taken it!
Super proud of the whole team, they were absolutely faultless, the car was pretty speedy towards the end there, but we didn’t have the winning pace.
Thanks everyone for your support, comments, messages and donations over the weekend.
Onto my home race next and hoping for a bit more luck, bring on the GC500!
Cheers,
Chaz
