Enduro Race Win with Fabs at The Bend 500! 🏆

G'day guys,

What a weekend at Tailem Bend! Going into the AirTouch 500, I felt like we had a really solid package in the Mobil 1 Optus Toyota Supra, we topped Practice 5 on Saturday and the whole team was buzzing. 

Qualifying was a bit frustrating, honestly. I came up just 0.030s short of the Top Ten Shootout, which stung because I know we had the pace to be right in the mix. But in enduro racing, you know that qualifying doesn't write the whole story.

Then the race on Sunday - wow. The weather absolutely unloaded on us. We're talking monsoon-level rain, standing water everywhere, spins happening all over the track, and safety cars coming out left, right and centre. It was pure survival for a big chunk of that race. Fabs jumped in and did an absolutely incredible job in those treacherous conditions early on, keeping the Supra clean and in the hunt. That first stint was the foundation of everything.

When I got in, the conditions were still wild but starting to dry. We made a great call with the team on the tyre strategy - getting onto slicks at the right moment was the key move. From there, the Supra just came alive. I could feel how quick we were and I pushed hard in the closing stages to build the gap. We ended up winning by 18.5 seconds, which is a result I could only have dreamed of when I woke up on Sunday morning.

This one means a lot to me. Win number 30 in my Supercars career, which ties me with Dick Johnson on the all-time list, that's honestly pretty surreal. To do it in an enduro with Fabs by my side made it even more special. It's also our second win of the 2026 season after Tasmania, and the momentum heading into Bathurst is incredible.
The whole WAU crew, everyone at Toyota, we're ready for Bathurst. Can't wait.
