Celebrating my 30th with a win at AusGP! 🥳

Hey Guys,

What a weekend racing alongside the big guys at F1 and getting my hands on 2 trophies!

I think our biggest story in the races this weekend was our issues with the soft tyre on the newly resurfaced track, we kind of knew what our strategy all weekend would have to be after the first race.

On Friday, I started on softs but we decided to run long, Adam made the call after six laps to swap to the harder compound!

It paid off, I was leading before the stop, I initially dropped down the order but it paid off! I could hunt down the cars in front to regain the lead with 8 laps to go and finished 8 seconds ahead of second place - it was an awesome day!

Saturday wasn’t the best, coming into the last corner on the last lap, I was in a battle for 3rd but came together with another car and my result was in the bin. I got a penalty and ended up finishing P22.

In our second race I carried some battle scars from early in the race that hurt me a bit, but I got off the soft tyre early and got into P5 and managed to hold off those behind for the last 10 laps and putting some points on the board.

Sunday was a good day! I turned 30 (or 26 in Russell Ingall years) and started the day with a cake in the garage (thanks team).

Started P3 but we ran the longer strategy, which was important, but what really gave me the edge was an unreal pit stop - the boys were the quickest in the field, which gave me the race lead with 14 laps to go.

SVG flat spotted a tyre while trying to catch me and that was that, two wins for the weekend!

It was an incredible way to end the weekend, and a huge thank you to the team, without their work in the lane today and on strategy we wouldn’t be here.
