🏆 Bathurst 1000 Champions! ⛰

Hey Guys,

Where can I even start! Lee Holdsworth & I are Bathurst 1000 Champions, it still hasn't sunk in.

We had a good start to the week getting our car ready through Practice and after a good Quali, rolled into the Top Ten Shootout.

I felt like I hold my breath for my whole Shootout lap, and through the laps of rest of the guys running after me too.

To be the quickest ever driver in a Supercar around Mount Panorama, is something very, very special, I hope that 2.03.3736 can stand for a while!

Lee started the Race and did a mega job. The Mountain did have one major test in store for us, when the left rear tyre started to delaminate due to debris which forced us onto an alternate strategy for the majority of the race, but Adam and the boys nailed it.

We were the quickest on track all day, and even though some late race safety cars bunched the field up and caused us a little bit of stress (I think Lee woulda pulled his hair out if he had any 😂) - we kept our cool and came out on top!

Pole, lap record, and the win, it was the perfect weekend. I've won from last, now I've won from Pole - that car was as good of a car I’ve ever driven, it was so nice to drive, not even that tyre could stop us.

I owe so much to Lee and his speed all weekend, man he did a good job, and it put us in the position to fight at the end.

3rd in the Championship, my best ever finish, the team and I are now going to make our way home and enjoy some well deserved time off with family & friends. In saying that, I'm already hyped for Newy!

Cheers,

Chaz
