ANOTHER TROPHY TO THE TALLY! ๐Ÿ†

Chaz Mostert has finished P3, P10 & P4 at the Townsville SuperSprint!

Race 22 โ€“ Position 3 ๐Ÿ†

Mostert qualified P5 following his solo lap in the Top Ten Shootout in Townsville and jumped Reynolds off the line, slotting into P2, right behind Jamie Whincup. The front two cars put a small gap on the field, before Mostert stopped on lap 16 for 4 tyres and Whincup covered the next lap. Mostert put pressure on the #88 car until the closing stages, before a fast finishing Cam Waters found his way past Mostert and pushed him back to P3.

Race 23 โ€“ Position 10 ๐Ÿ

After starting from P13 in Sundayโ€™s first Race, Mostert pitted early in a strategic move, which triggered a flurry in pit-lane. Managing older tyres later in the race, Mostert held onto his track position as best he could to finish just inside the Top Ten.

Race 24 โ€“ Position 4 ๐Ÿ

The final race in Townsville proved another podium opportunity for Mostert, who was probably a lap-short of collecting a second trophy for the weekend. After starting on the second-row, Mostert settled into P4 early, before jumping ahead of Nick Percat for P3 before the round of stops. The Number 25 had a longer stint on track than most other cars, looking for the tyre advantage at the end. Mostert re-joined the track in P6 after his pit-stop, before a safety-car was deployed with 16 laps to go. On the restart, he was able to move past Percat and Todd Hazelwood. Mostert pushed Scott McLaughlin all the way to the line for the final step on the podium, but fell just short.

โ€œIt was a gruelling weekend on the whole, and itโ€™s been a big month, but we banked a solid haul of points again today. We were able to get qualifying right in the last session, and to just miss out on the podium was a shame but there were still a lot of positives to take from it. Overall Iโ€™m happy with the progress we are making, I know I sound like a broken record, but itโ€™s how we are looking at things right now. Thereโ€™s a couple of cars in a league of their own at the moment, but itโ€™s our job to catch them. Iโ€™m looking forward to the challenge of improving the car for the rest of the year, which will fire us into next year. Canโ€™t wait for The Bend, bring it on.โ€
