Chaz Mostert has finished P3 with Warren Luff at the Bathurst 1000!

Race 31 – Position 3 🏆

After three days of Practice at Mount Panorama, Mostert put in a blistering lap in the Top 10 Shootout on Saturday to qualify P3 for The Great Race.

As rain threatened the Shootout, Chaz was third out in the order, setting the bar high early and only being topped by 2 of the last 3 cars.

His 2.04.01 lap time was a hold your breath lap the entire time, as he put it all on the line in typical Mostert fashion.

Mostert and Luff finished third in the 2020 Bathurst 1000, capping off the 2020 season with a podium in the biggest race of the year, showing consistently good speed throughout the entire 161 laps, running inside the top-five for the majority.

With a few late safety cars at the end of the race, they were in the hunt for the win, but just couldn’t quite bridge the gap to the top 2.

The Mobil 1 Appliances Online No. 25 was a front-runner all weekend, and the team was rewarded at the end of 1000kms with a trophy.

Mostert’s Bathurst Podium wraps up the 2020 Championship season where he finished 5th in the Standings.

“I can’t thank the team enough, both here and at home, for all that they have done getting us here today. The car was great and Luffy was incredible, he is just a pro. It’s pretty special to stand on the podium here, so I can’t thank our team, our amazing partners, and the extended WAU family enough for all that they have done. It’s been a learning year for us, we’ve made a lot of gains in some pretty trying circumstances, so I’m pretty excited to see what we can do in 2021.”
